Built in 1963, Ponderosa High School is located on a 38 acre oak tree-lined campus. From its very beginning this campus was recognized by the community it serves and the building industry alike for its distinctive design which took full advantage of its rural setting.

Aesthetically beautiful with gorgeous views it’s no wonder why this campus has become known as one of the most beautiful high school campuses in northern California.

The campus is featured prominently in the September 1964 edition of Architectural Record magazine.

This high school is part of the El Dorado Union High School District.
